Summary
On your 18th birthday and forever after, the chance to know who your soulmate is, is increased. When you look at or in rare cases, are near your special someone, a ring tattoos itself onto your ring finger. If one of you is 18 and the other younger, it takes time before you can truly call the other your soulmate. In the time between one birthday and the other, you're called assumed soulmates.
Once the ring is there, good luck removing it. Tattoo parlours aren't allowed to, not that they want to anyway. Getting another tattoo to cover it? Out of the question. Soulmate rings are sacred and by even having one, you're lucky. Not everyone gets to meet, be with and/or stay with their soulmate.
Hayley and Harry Styles are best friends of and with Louis Tomlinson. Twins, might I add. The trio is inseparable, it seems, they have been since Hayley punched the kid who was making fun of Louis' shoes when she was 5 and he was 7.On Louis' 18th birthday, both twins walk into his room and hope for the best, his soulmate ring. Harry looked intently at Louis in a way that made him squirm. He wasn’t uncomfortable, but he couldn’t exactly name the feeling. All he knew was that he hoped it didn’t go away.
Harry’s chest was against Louis’ shoulder, and due to their height imbalance, his breath brushed against Louis’ ear as he said in a low whisper, “We’d all mess around together. I’d touch you as much as I’d touch Eleanor. Would you be okay with that?”
“I-,” Louis felt his voice raise to an unnatural pitch. His eyes connected with Harry’s, finding them to be darker than normal. “I dunno…”

His words struck a chord in Louis, running down his spine in a terrible, exciting tingle. Without much thought, Louis smirked upward. “Yes.”
Harry’s lip twitched upward, but that was all Louis saw before Harry grasped his face, pulling himself forward until he stood directly against the man. The pressure thrilled Louis, and he found himself arching into his touch.

Louis furrows his brows, tilting his head curiously at Niall. “Another month. Brisbane and then over to NZ. Why?”
