Summary
“I want him to have at least four buttons open in the front. It looked too closed-up in the picture,” Harry's manager instructed sharply through the phone.
When Louis searched for his eyes, Harry was already watching him.
“Should I do it?” Louis asked quietly.
Harry’s nod was more of a small jerk, but it was enough.
Louis rose onto his toes, slipping his fingers beneath the thin fabric to undo the top button while urging Harry to lean down, ignoring Harry’s breath against the backs of his hands.
The moment stretched.
Finally, all four buttons were open.
When Louis stepped back, Harry instinctively followed his hands before realizing the task was finished.
He straightened quickly, face burning as Louis turned him toward the mirror.—

Summary
“Scared?” Louis asks, punctuated by a deep drag of his cigarette. With his other hand, he brings his thumb and index finger to his chest and undoes another button. The bare skin is somehow still amber and aglow, decorated with small hairs. Harry wants to catch them in his teeth and pull.
He drinks. “I’ve always been scared of unpredictable people. But I get over it.”
Louis leans back and smirks. “Now you’re scared of yourself. You’re afraid you’ll fall in love with me.”
“That wouldn’t be hard.”
In fact, it would be nearly effortless. It’s everything else that’s been taking him a lot of effort these days.
Louis lowers his head just to look up at Harry through lightning-rod eyelashes. “Careful.”
