Sam opened his eyes and observed his surroundings. He was laid out on a bed in a dark room. The shutters were closed. He was covered in blankets. The room was obviously a hotel room, but a lot nicer then the ones they usually stayed in. It was big, clean and orderly. The bed was huge and soft. Sam frowned. How did he get there?

“Shop’s closed,” Crowley growled once more, smoldering. He snapped his fingers, fully intending on miracling the man out of the bookshop — but he merely smiled mildly at the demon, looking nonplussed.
“Oh, those don’t work on me, sorry,” he said, rather pleasantly. “It’s quite good to see you again, Crowley.”
Crowley stared at him.
It was only then he understood that he was staring at Him.
Crowley is perfectly - well, not happy, but perfectly fine - to spend his days in the bookshop, drinking and grieving and wishing things had gone differently.
That is, until the Son of God turns up, asking to have a word with him about Aziraphale. Something's gone down in the Up - and the angel really would never cease to surprise him.

"You don't know?" Crowley said incredulously. He turned to give Beelzebub a very fierce, somewhat teacherly, glare over the top of his sunglasses. Either Beelzebub was lying, which wouldn't be a surprise, or Beelzebub was telling the truth. Which would make it a very interesting ordeal, indeed.
Beelzebub bared their teeth. Fierce points that hadn't been there before were now glinting dangerously in the light.
"You don't know," Crowley drawled, the hint of a dangerous smile at the edge of his words. "There's someone running around on a religious murdering spree. And you have no idea who it is."

Arthur frowned, unnerved. That was not what he should be asking. Merlin should be more fearful for his own safety. Perhaps he was, and he was simply concealing it. So Arthur took pity on him, and as he so often did these days, adopted Merlin's courage as his own.
"No," Arthur told him firmly. "Not in the slightest."
