Summary
Basil's geography project requires him to photograph a series of different trees over the summer.
He spontaneously asks his childhood best friend, Sunny, to come with him on his project while he is visiting town over the summer.
Somewhere between the sounds of a shuttering camera, the endless tangents, and the rustling of maps, the project starts to become about something else entirely.
(Set the summer after the good ending and in Third Person Limited from the perspective of Sunny)

Basil thinks about Mari lying just under his shoes. Is it really okay to be standing on top of her like this? He thinks of her hands clasped over her belly. He thinks of a very hungry caterpillar chewing through the bruises around her neck. He thinks of her ivory white bones.
He tries to focus on Sunny, what Sunny’s saying: “And a book. We’re gonna fill it with your memories. Stories and pictures of you. Everything good.”
