    Summary

Best friends as civilians, reluctant partners as superheroes; Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Lila Rossi are chosen to stand against Paris’s local terrorist, HawkMoth. Things seem simple at first but… as lies and secrets accumulate, it becomes increasingly difficult to tell right from wrong, hero from villain, friend from foe. Marinette will need to keep her moral compass and her wits about her as she navigates the new life she has been thrown into.

Or: Lila Rossi gets the Ladybug Miraculous, and Marinette gets the Black Cat Miraculous. They get along as well as you'd expect.

    Summary

“We were just trying to help our friends,” said Tanaka with as much innocence as he could muster. “It’s clear they have feelings for each other and we just wanted to help them confess!”

“We promise we won’t start anything again!” Noya chimed in. “Not even if it’s for a good cause!”

“Guys chill,” Kageyama said, stepping out of the unlocked door. “That’s what all of this was for?”

Tanaka and Noya smiled the most genuine smile they could but that still reeked of guilt.

Hinata laughed. “That was a pretty dumb prank, seeing as Kags and I are already together.”

    Summary

Hinata grins and then teases, "Wow, it's like we're actually dating, Kageyama."

He expects a rebuttal, or perhaps a glare of annoyance, but Kageyama is silent. Hinata feels his smile waver as the silence carries on.

"I was only kidding," he assures quickly.

"I figured," Kageyama says, not looking over at him.

[A little white lie at lunch has Hinata rethinking his friendship with Kageyama over the course of their not-date. Absolutely not a date. Not at all.]
