yoongi sits on the couch to wait. his phone is on the coffee table at first, occasionally glancing at the clock as time ticks by. slowly, yoongi shifts his position to tuck his legs under his body and starts looking at his phone, scrolling through his socials as a distraction. he sends one text to jeongguk asking if he will come home at all tonight, and it delivers but doesn't get read. yoongi sinks into the pillows and continues to wait.
he waits and waits and waits. yoongi waits for jeongguk until he's drifting off with his phone open on their texts, arm hanging off the couch as he lies on it, cheek squished into a pillow. his eyes are drooping now, slowly falling shut. he can't even tell what time it is anymore, eyelids too heavy to be able to see the clock. the food must have gone cold by now regardless of how long it’s been. yoongi falls asleep like that, wondering if jeongguk will come at all.

"you're pretty," he murmurs as a distraction, focusing in on jeongguk's beauty as he gets pulled forward. yoongi is so busy admiring his boyfriend, he doesn't even realize that jeongguk has taken ahold of his other hand. they’re still near the wall though, so when yoongi does notice, he isn’t fazed or upset. "like. i wasn't all that surprised to hear you're a figure skater, jeonggukie. you know, it made sense. even if you weren't as talented as you are, you have such a pretty face."
jeongguk laughs and continues to slide backwards, a big grin on his face. "thanks, hyung,” he says and squeezes yoongi’s gloved hands. “that might come across as condescending from anyone else, but i know you're just afraid of tarnishing your reputation if you fall on your ass."

Summary
The sheets on the bed shuffle and Jungkook feels Yoongi's body heat leave him, clammy palm no longer sitting at his side. Jungkook lifts his head a little and narrows his eyes into the darkness, seeing Yoongi's figure with his legs over the edge of the bed. "Hyung," he says and Yoongi looks over his shoulder, moonlight in his eyes where it falls delicately over his face. Jungkook smiles softly. "My favorite color?"
"Black," Yoongi replies and Jungkook props his elbow into his pillow, watching him. Jungkook keeps smiling—he knows Yoongi will explain. "You like it because it's versatile, especially with clothes. Goes with anything. Matches any occasion. You exclusively use black pens for work. You—" Yoongi stops, clears his throat, and lowers his voice. “You like it when my hair is black."
