She imagined him shrinking with the skyline until he became a tiny speck; a piece of dust she could blow away.
York, Darlington, Newcastle, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Edinburgh... It was really happening, wasn't it? Therese fished frantically for the train ticket in her pocket. Edinburgh, single, one-way. There was no return from this.

The older woman lifted her eyebrows.
“And what’s stopping you from that?”Therese froze. If she really thought about it, nothing was holding her back. Richard wasn’t here at the moment. She could easily disappear. Richard could look for her. She could say she went on board to look for him. She could say she went after him to say goodbye to his parents. It could just be a silly accident. Her right hand gripped her suitcase.
As if the woman could sense the gears turning inside of Therese’s brain she said in a low voice:

Summary
Modern AU where Carol is the head of a successful dance company and holds a six month long intensive program to train and recruit prospective dancers. She instantly falls for one of the dancers, Therese Belivet, but because of past experiences and her own stubbornness, is not willing to accept or express her feelings. She instead settles for a meaningless fling with a mysterious woman who proves to be harder than expected to let go of. The talented and young Therese can’t help but feel drawn towards Carol, but is focused on her dream to become a professional dancer and therefore decides to not let herself get involved in anything that may be a distraction. However, Carol may be the exception.
Inspired by a reader’s suggestion (credited in first chapter) and going to be more angst-fuelled then my past stories. Get ready for lots of miscommunication, jealousy, hurt and a quite unkind Carol at times. But it will all be worth it in the end… I promise.
