Summary
Peter Parker never considered himself special. Maybe, yeah, having radioactive blood and spider-like abilities makes him different and his vigilante career is out of the norm and fine, yeah, he's on the autism spectrum. Call that "special" if you want. But under all that, he's a regular college student juggling three jobs, an internship, a sad mockery of a social life, and saving the city day and night. The usual stuff.
So when he somehow catches the eye of a casually gorgeous country boy with an accent that could turn even Aunt May's brick-hard mashed potatoes to mush, he's only thrown for a minute before he writes it off as a fluke. What could a guy like that see in a guy like him anyway?

Summary
When Peter decides to quarantine at his apartment in Boston, he and Tony make sure to Zoom as often as they can. Therefore, it makes sense that when Peter learns one of his classmates lives in the apartment right across the hall, Tony's going to hear all about it. Meanwhile, Peter and Harley fall into a daily routine of sitting in their respective doorways chatting and snark-ing each other for hours at a time.

“You know what I mean.”
He snickered, shaking his head, but the smile slipped from his lips as they settled into a neutral line. He leaned on his cane to look up at the sky.
“I don’t. I mean, not really. People think it’s this majestic, all knowing force, but it’s a lot more like a child, always watching, always learning. When it connects with us, it tunes into every fiber of our being. It doesn’t know anything at first, we shape it with our every thought, our every use, every action. We’re its compass, moral or otherwise. You know what they say, what goes around comes around, that’s very literal here. I just…learned that a lot sooner than others do. They take from the world, so it learns to take. I give of myself, and only myself, so it gives in return…"
He glanced down at his hands, examining them carefully as they glowed faintly in the moonlight.
"...at least, that’s what I tell myself. That’s what I hope is the truth.”
