Summary
“Bleeding.” Claire brings her chubby little hand up to point at his forehead.
Henry touches his cold fingers to his forehead, realizing the bandage he’d placed over his eyebrow has been bled through. He thinks he’s got more in the center console. He hopes.
“Daddy’s alright,” he assures her, finally snapping the buckle together over her puffy pink coat. He gives her the best smile he can muster. “Ready to go for a drive?”
Claire nods at him, big blue eyes inquisitive as he palms her hair, thumb brushing blonde locks off her forehead. “Where’s we goin’?”
“Somewhere better,” he says, and closes the back door tight.

He reaches across the table, wrapping his fingers delicately around Henry’s wrist. “You don’t need to say anything, baby. Just eat your soup.”
That’s easy enough. Henry can do that, right now. He can eat soup. Spoon to mouth, one step at a time. That, he has the capacity to do.
Everything else can wait, just like Alex said.

Summary
“Going down?” Henry asks routinely, staring at the line of yellow buttons, ready to press.
“We’ve only just met,” the man says, voice insinuating and silky. Only then Henry turns around, to see an utterly gorgeous specimen of a man in front of him. Completely naked with drips of water on him.
Alex gets locked out of his hotel room only with a towel on, that happens to be snatched by a beagle, which causes him to get stuck naked in an elevator with the dog’s owner – who just so happens to be the Prince of England. -

Summary
Alex and Henry like pet names. They’ve been using them since before getting together. They slowly moved from using them as a way to tease the other. It used to be sweetheart or darling at the end of a sentence to disrupt each other. Now, they unironically use them to make the other smile and feel loved. And while they would usually stick to the more common ones, Alex brought a new one to the table when Henry was least expecting it. But despite his best efforts to hide his reaction to Alex, his boyfriend seems to always see right through him.
or, 3 times Alex accidently calls Henry princess, and one time he knows exactly what he’s doing.

Summary
Henry and Alex have been best friends since high school and maybe something more. (If either of them would actually do anything about it.) Enter Pez, who's had enough of watching his best mate pine.
Armed with charm, chaos, and a foolproof plan he's dubbed Operation: Claremont-Diaz Collapse, Pez is determined to get Henry into Alex's bed. Four steps. Zero shame. What could possibly go wrong?
"He doesn't flirt like that with anyone else," Pez went on. "He doesn't call me baby. He doesn't kiss my hair. He's not testing the water anymore-he's waist-deep, waiting for you to jump."
Henry's hands curled into fists against his knees.
"I don't know how."Pez didn't flinch. He smiled-slow and sharp, a cat with a canary. "Oh, sweet Hazza. Then buckle up.
Class is in session." -
The Consequences (of our Actions) by AnchoredArchangel

Summary
It starts, like so many things in Alex’s life, with a list.
A list, a prince, an NDA, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and a night better than any of the fantasies that preceded it. No consequences. That was the whole point.
Except, like so many things in Alex’s life, it isn’t that simple.
Illicit rendezvous, heartfelt phone calls, transatlantic flights, nights that change them… and a morning that changes everything.
And that’s just how it starts.

“Shaan isn’t a PPO,” Henry corrects. “He’s my equerry—”
“Pause,” Alex interrupts immediately, “what the fuck is an equerry?”
Henry’s jaw flexes, like he was hoping Alex wouldn’t ask, knows the answer is only going to get him grief, but he sticks out his chin anyway and says primly, “It is an equerry’s job to attend to my needs.”
Alex snorts. “I attend to your needs now too, sweetheart. Do I get a fancy title?”“What the fuck? I thought you said I couldn’t have a fancy title.”
“I believe what I told you was that you could not be a salaried employee of the Crown,” Henry says mildly, “and you’ve hardly been a gentleman in any bedchamber I’ve ever had you in.”
Which, fair. And also, hot.
“Or office,” Alex reminds him. “Or stupid fucking sitting room.” Henry rolls his eyes, but the pink is rising back in his cheeks. “What can I say,” Alex sighs, continuing solemnly, “it’s my cross to bear. A gentleman in the streets, but a freak in the bedchamber.”He pulls out the little plastic box, takes out a single rainbow swirled candle, and plunks it awkwardly into the center of the cake slice like it isn’t already lying on its side. “Ta-da!”
Henry just stares at him, shutting up and waiting to see, for once, as instructed. Alex rolls his eyes, but he pulls the lighter out of the pants pocket next and flicks it twice to light the wick. It sparks, then catches.
“Make a wish.”
Henry isn’t even looking at the cake, or the candle, or the fire. He’s still just staring at Alex.
“You want me to—”
“I cannot be introducing you to the concept of making a wish on your fucking birthday cake candles,” Alex tells him, brooking no argument. “I’ve seen where you were fucking raised, and it wasn’t under a rock. The only rock you could fit where you were raised under is the actual fucking moon.”
Henry blinks at him slowly, then says softly, “Alex, I wished—”
Alex kisses him with enough force that he pushes Henry flat on his back against the bed, the sheets fluttering up around them, the pillows flattened under their combined weight. Henry doesn’t miss a beat returning the kiss, soaking up the fresh taste of sugar from his tongue, but Alex still pulls back.
“I know it’s been a minute, Mr. I’m Familiar With The Practice,” he says, levering himself over Henry’s body to look him in the eyes. “But you don’t tell people your birthday wishes or they won’t come true. You have to remember that. It’s literally birthday wishes 101.”
Henry’s got that same look on his face from when he blew out the candle, fixed on Alex with intent. “Of course. My mistake.”
Alex takes it in, the seriousness of his expression matched by the gravity of his tone, and asks, “You want it to come true, don’t you?”
Henry swallows, his whole throat moving with it in a way that pulls Alex in, hypnotizing. Enough so that he almost misses it when Henry whispers, “Desperately.”
“It’s too much,” Alex tells him. “Everything you went through—”
“Brought me straight to you,” Henry finishes. Not the end Alex had in mind, but quite obviously the one that Henry means.
Alex shakes his head at that, says seriously, “I would have found you anyway.”
Henry blinks at him, taking in Alex’s entire demeanor, his expression. “You know what?” he says slowly. “I believe you.”It came true.”
Henry says it so gently that Alex only hears him because they’re so close, so impossibly close, and yet, still never close enough.
“What did?” Alex whispers back. He looks into Henry’s eyes, the depth of them, an eternity in blue.
Henry smiles—real, and slow, and breathtaking. “My wish.”And that’s what it all comes down to, isn’t it? When he thinks about the entire year laid out before him, unrolled like a map of the very best parts, he knows what’s at the center of it all.
“Henry,” he says, and Henry turns towards him, like Alex was trying to get his attention. He wasn’t. “Henry is my good thing.”
