Summary
Water is only as holy as the hands that bless it. Small sins, tiny transgressions hardly move the needle. But, the more severe the infraction, the weaker the water becomes. And if the good Father sought to grasp flesh beyond the body of Christ with his fingertips, if he wanted to feel the weight of more than wafers on his tongue… Well, a demon could practically drink water blessed by those hands.
She wouldn’t, of course, but she could.

Summary
Crowley hated that this was always how it happened, fear and fondness together in a shard of splintered faith that he so willingly impaled himself on over and over. He was so tired of love hurting so much. There were things to do, probably at some point a world to save, and right now he needed to get his shit together.

Summary
Aziraphale looks at Crowley. Several complicated emotions cross over his face—his familiar, well-known face, and Crowley can precisely pinpoint everything that is going on with his brows and his lips and the pinching of his eyes, can read in the lines of Aziraphale’s expression the way he is working up to something—
“Who are you again?” Aziraphale asks, and Crowley crashes like the wave against the rocks.
Five years after he left for Heaven, an angel plummets out of the sky, with no recollection of much of anything, really. While navigating his own complicated feelings, Crowley is left to wonder what happened to Aziraphale, and most notably… to figure out why their wings are turning grey.
