Summary
It is widely known that when one dies there is a crucial step that must happen before one can find peace and move on to the afterlife.
The deceased will find themselves in a place that holds significance to them. It may not be their favorite place, but rather, the place that defined and shaped them. A place that embedded itself into their very soul. There they will wait until they can meet face to face with the person whose life they changed most.
Once that person enters the space, a span of what humans experience as 24 hours, occurs- no more and no less.
It can be an enemy, a friend, a lover, a child. It cannot be someone who has already passed into the afterlife. The person who joins the deceased must always be someone alive; someone left behind to face the world without the deceased.
And to Gojo's complete surprise, it seems that the person he has impacted most is Fushiguro Megumi.

Summary
Gojo hoped that Megumi found peace in his final breath. He hoped that Megumi drifted off with the promise of Gojo protecting him, the same way he did when he was a child who had drifted off while watching movies on the couch. He hoped that Megumi’s ascension into bliss felt like being carried to bed late at night, rather than drowning in his shadow.

Summary
"Gojo- Gojo’s gone, he’s… dead.” Yuuji’s voice is shot, like he’s been using it extensively for a while now, and his expression is stricken.
Megumi doesn’t feel it, doesn’t feel much of anything, but he hears his own voice ask “how?” as his mind is attempting to wrap around the fact that, according to Yuuji, Gojo is dead. The idea alone is laughable, but Yuuji doesn’t seem playful, he seems like he’s about to cry again.
There’s a ringing in Megumi’s ears, slowly growing louder the longer he stares off at the pool of blood in the distance, but he can still hear Yuuji’s next words. “Sukuna… he- he killed him.” Yuuji does choke up at that, his hand covering a sob, but Megumi doesn’t process it.
All he knows, all he can hear, all he can feel, is that Megumi killed Gojo.
Or: Megumi finds out what happened to Gojo
