Life was not so ‘brill’ for Severus Snape who saw a small boy covered in scars, stuttering when he spoke, and seemed to be filled with unresolved trauma. The boy he vowed to keep safe had a true knack for chaos, a knack that even Severus could hardly contain.

Summary
The day after the invasion Tony wakes up and his tower is intact again; everything is exactly the way it was before this whole mess went down. It doesn’t take him long to catch up but he can’t figure out why he’s in a time loop – so he does what anyone would: fuck things up while trying to find a way to fix this. Jack likes making an over the top winter wonderland for Christmas. Cue rival shenanigans of Pitch adding horror to Jack’s decorations and Jack adding Christmas cheer to Pitch’s. By the end of December they both have horror-Christmas lawns/houses and secretly love it because they’ve been crushing on each other for years and all the other neighbors on the street know it. Bonus points if Jack gets Pitch under the mistletoe

This story was inspired by the thought of Prince William of Wales (and indeed the current Max von Hapsburg) studying at the University of St Andrews; it is also, as the title suggests, at least a little inspired by the operetta 'The Student Prince'.

::2019 note: This story was written BEFORE the TV show introduced the character of Gwaine. It's not that I can't spell, or that I'm perversely writing him out of character - I incorporated other characters from Arthurian legend (Kay, Gawain etc) into my story, and lacking prophetic abilities, my versions naturally don't mesh with the versions subsequently introduced into the show.::
