All things considered, Oscar would say that he was doing pretty well. Not in the race, obviously—that had been fairly shit—but in terms of damage control. He and Lewis had resolved their whole situation peacefully. In his post-race interview, he had remained calm and given the usual neutral answers of "it is what it is" and "we're always pushing to do better." Team debrief had been weird. A lot of shit had happened during the race, and when Oscar was in the middle of so much of it, it was bound to be a little difficult. But it was fine, really.
That was why hours after the race, finishing picking up his drivers room and getting ready to go back to the hotel, he was decidedly not thinking about it. Nope. Not at all.

Oliver has just broken up with Connor, Asher tries to cheer him up, they get drunk together and Asher's brain is currently on vacation, slurping Piña Coladas somewhere on a beach far, far away.
Probably a bad time for Connor to tease him about his huge interest in the.. logistics of gay sex.

Summary
Michaela asks everyone what their plans are for the holidays, and that's when it really hits them: not many of them have loving families to go back to for Christmas. The plane tickets to Michigan that Connor bought for Oliver are going to go to waste, except this is Asher's first Christmas alone and he's not handling it well - so Connor invites Asher instead.
