Steve blinks, looking startled and nervous, and a little turned on. "What?"
"Well," Eddie says, hooking his thumbs through Steve's belt loops, "society tells you men are for friendship, and women are for fucking. You said you decided that women are for friendship too, actually. So can I understand this," he tugs Steve's waist forwards, until Steve is pressing both of them against the tiled wall, "as you deciding men are also for fucking? Because -"
He tilts his head forwards, his cheek brushing Steve's as he says quietly into Steve's ear, "I'd be interested if you are."

Summary
Watching Steve sit alone that first day- even with his ex and her new squeeze crowding his table- former King of Hawkins High with his bruised up face and puppy dog eyes, and apparently, knight in shining armor tendencies, Eddie never stood a chance.
It's Jeff, in the end, that finally badgers Eddie enough to let Steve be dragged over to their table- into Hellfire, and Dungeons & Dragons, and hopefully right into Eddie's arms- after Steve intervenes to stop Jeff being harrassed in the halls.
Now Eddie just needs to figure out what he's going to do with all of it.
Aka a hellfire adopts Steve fic, because give the boy some friends (and a boyfriend).
