He halfheartedly laughs and continues quietly, “I guess I’m lucky I have you too.” As though the sky heard his quiet confession, the clouds open up. He sighs and his grip on me tightens before he loosens up standing me back on the ground. His hand waivers at my hip and I can tell he's just as confused as I am.
After all, when it rains it pours.
