J is convinced by a ghost that her tertiary responsibility should be protecting what remains of its legacy. And that the secondary should be fighting against the thing that made the ghost. Afterward, she feels empty and searches within herself for answers to the question of whether her life is worth living IN SPAAAAACEE!!!! (Maybe even with these other drones around her.)

Summary
After a lifetime of servitude, J is finally free from the Solver’s influence. (No thanks to her, of course.) Now, without orders to hide behind, she’s forced to confront the horrors of the past, and they’re pushing her towards an edge that she might never be able to return from.
Would the struggle even be worth it? She’s got no hope of living a normal life–that’d been stolen from her long ago. Nothing would ever fill the void left behind. She’d carved that void by hand.
But floating in stasis, hidden in the furthest reaches of the night sky, something might change that.
