Summary
Kim Dokja is used to the way touch can hurt, the way it can beat you down and break open your skin. For most of his life that's all he's ever known.
He's not used to Yoo Joonghyuk.

Summary
Kim Dokja wakes up in the body of a cannon fodder set to marry a widowed duke who went crazy after the death of his beloved wife. Said Duke has either killed or driven away all of the brides that came before him. Dokja’s fate seems obvious.
But when Dokja gets there, he feels a strange familiarity to the Duke’s estate, to the gardens, to a mansion he’s never stepped foot in.
And then there’s the Duke himself.

Summary
Kim Dokja has spent his entire life trying to remain inconspicuous. The irony of fate: to die as a nameless statistic in a company accident report. Fate had other plans: the last thing he sees before losing consciousness in a snowstorm is a dark silhouette leaning over him.
Yoo Junhyuk, a hermit forester, lives by simple rules: he survives on his own and doesn't seek company. Finding a half-dead city dweller in the snow isn't in his plans. But leaving him to die isn't his style either.
Thus begins their strange partnership in the snowy wilderness, where survival is more important than conversation, and behind silence and sarcasm lies something they both long ago forgot—a need for warmth and understanding.
