In a world where the strings of music are slightly more sentient, the Pop string makes King Peppy consider the idea of making better relationships with the other string bearing tribes. And Peppy, knowing most of the village wouldn’t survive out there, looks for the only survivalist troll in pop village.
Branch has no idea how life changing of an adventure he’s about to go on.

“They can’t have misspelled it that much, that can’t be true!”, Barrett exclaimed, still laughing.
But Ilya’s heart dropped as realisation hit.

He hadn’t told Rozanov, why would he? They’d exchanged their usual quips in the days leading up to the game, riffing about who would win, how many goals they’d score. But underlying it all was the knowledge that they’d end the night in each other’s arms. Shane refused to admit it, but that might have been part of the reason he was so determined not to get sick. If it was any other game, any other team… It had been four months since he’d seen Rozanov. Four months of convincing himself he would finally end it, while simultaneously counting down the days until they would see each other again-- until this game.
