Summary
"But tell me, are you aware of how demonic energy functions? It's importance?" Vergil asked.
“I remember Dante mentioning it was needed for the bonds to form and maintaining them. And there’s the obvious things like our triggers, my wings, your guys’ phantom swords.” Nero answered.
“Yes, those are actions we can take using energy.” Vergil agreed. “But that is not the base responsibility. It functions to keep you alive. It is your power. Your strength, just as is your blood. You know if you lose too much blood, you will lose consciousness. The same thing happens if you overexert yourself and use up more energy than you have to support yourself. And you,” Vergil paused as his head turned to look Nero in the eyes, which Nero reluctantly met as he twisted to look over at him, “were flaunting a lot of your abilities this week.”

A sequel story showing more scenes of comfort and care for Nero, Vergil, and Dante alike, more demonic instincts and their mental family bond, learning about demonic energy, and protecting one another still. - Sequel to "Devil May Hug"; recommended to read that first.I have all the chapters already done and will post once a week <3
Series
- Part 2 of Devils With a Bond

Summary
After the events of Temen-ni-gru, the Sparda family settled into demon hunting out of the Devil May Cry. With time passing, it seems that they can be assured in their strength and safety. However, Mundus doesn't let debts go unpaid and manages to get his hands on one of Sparda's sons.
While the other immediately leaves to find his brother, old faces turn up and danger comes to even the youngest in Sparda's line.
(I do not own Devil May Cry or any of the characters. Rated for mentions of torture. Follows the events of DMC1)

Summary
Bestselling author, single father to a teenage delinquent with a heart of gold … It’s not how Vergil had envisioned his mid-thirties, but he’s made the most of it. His biggest problem these days is the manuscript for his latest book, which—much like his life—is not going according to plan. In a last-ditch effort to find some inspiration, he returns to his hometown and the old coffee shop where he wrote his earliest work. It’s going well enough—he’s even gotten Nero a job there so he can keep an eye on his beloved boy while working—until, of course, Dante gets back from his latest tour and emotions begin to run wild.
