“Shen Jiu?” Yue Qingyuan whispered.
The boy raised his face towards Yue Qingyuan, looking confused for a moment before he hid the spoiled food behind his back, as though Yue Qingyuan may take it. “How do you know that?” He demanded, voice sharp.
Or, after the events of the books, Shen Jiu gets a second chance at life.

“Is he dead?” A voice asked nervously. It was unfamiliar to Xue Yang. It sounded like a young girl, maybe. “He hasn’t moved in a while now…”
“No, thankfully,” A very, very familiar voice answered. Some pressure was wrapped around his wrist. “I feel his heart beating still.”
Xue Yang’s eyes snapped open. There, inches from his face, was Xiao Xingchen.
Xue Yang gaped at him. How did he find him? Had he been looking for Xue Yang so he could personally kill him for what he did to Song Lan? Fine, let him kill Xue Yang, but it would be preferable if they could at least fight to the death. Once Xue Yang could feel his legs, he would proudly fight Xiao Xingchen and die with a grin on his face.
“Are you awake?” Xiao Xingchen asked, his fingers lightly cupping Xue Yang’s shoulder. Xiao Xingchen had a stripe of white cloth covering his eyes, looking perfect, not even a strand of hair out of place. The bastard.
Or, What if Xue Yang didn’t have time to trick Xiao Xingchen into killing innocents?

“Bàba! Bàba!”
Wei Wuxian’s words trailed off, his steps faltering as he heard Lan Sizhui’s terrified scream.

Wei Ying searches the sidewalk in front of the petting zoo. His heart skips a beat, when his eyes find Lan Zhan. The man looks like a god among mortals in his light grey wool coat. His hair is half up half down today, cascading over his shoulder in an inky waterfall. A small smile plays at the corner of his eyes. Only Wei Ying’s reflexes prevent him from face planting then and there, when his foot gets caught on a root. The thing must have sneaked up on him. Face as red as the banners announcing a past Chinese New Year event, he waves at Lan Zhan – no less enthusiastic than A-Yuan.

Wei Ying knows enough about dating to know that the regular stuff isn’t good enough for Lan Zhan. No movie theaters (too loud, too peoply) or crappy restaurants (any restaurant worthy of Lan Zhan was also one that Wei Ying couldn’t afford). Getting coffee was out because they do that already. Not special enough! Knowing that the stakes were high and the rewards worth the effort, Wei Ying had the perfect Lan Zhan date all set to go before he asked Lan Zhan out. Wei Ying is capable of focusing when it matters. Take that, every teacher he’s ever had!
College student Wei Ying has somehow managed to convince Lan Zhan, the love of his life, to date him. Although the first date went perfectly, now Wei Ying has to keep the magic going. And unfortunately, their second date has to be at the university's Fall Festival. It'll be tricky, but somehow, Wei Ying is going to make this date even more perfect than the first!
