So, it didn't really surprise him how bad his first day at the Pitt went. Having crushed his finger under a patient was nothing. He couldn’t remember the number of times a cow had stepped on his fingers while playing on the ground as a child. Being repeatedly soiled by fluids, may they be blood, piss or worse? Animals didn't care about other people's feelings. Losing a patient? He had grown up on a farm. Death wasn’t unknown.
