Summary
“You back with us, Slug?”
“Yeah... ‘m fine...”
It was then that Chuuya realized something was off. As an adult Dazai had larger hands but they were now wrapped around the executive's clenched fist. Chuuya’s voice was pitched too high. It could have been due to the sudden onslaught of fatigue that was straining his voice, but he knew all too well his voice always carried a deep tone, gravelly and rough when exhaustion hit.
No. There was something very off.
“Good morning, Little Mafioso.”
----
For someone who can remember nothing of their life before the age of seven, navigating through Yokohama as a young boy ends up being more of a challenge than the mafia executive expected. Unsure what is causing Chuuya to revert to a child while still having his adult mind is frustrating but when it's discovered that he could suffer permanent effects, the situation becomes a little less cute.

Summary
Chuuya is used to laughing off life-threatening injuries in the face of his enemies. An executive didn’t allow anyone to see any form of weakness. Especially not when that executive had their body modified with the purpose of being used as a tool for war.
It was a unique kind of suffering felt by someone who only saw themself as a weapon.

Summary
“Fighting... game?”
“Yeah! Y’know-” Chuuya got into one of his relaxed stances, fists up as he made quick jabs into an invisible enemy in the air. “The kind of game where you got a bunch of characters and they all have different combos and fighting styles. I hated tryin’ to remember the buttons for some of the SMASH moves but it’s so damn satisfyin’ when you finally pull it off.”
“I would rather train within the territory of Port Mafia instead of wasting time engaging in a fantasy world to fight imaginary enemies while pointlessly yelling out my next attack, Nakahara.”
Ouch.
---
Dazai's defection takes its toll on several members of the mafia. Chuuya attempts to work with his lost subordinate but that proves to be difficult when he cant and refuses to treat Akutagawa the way his former mentor had.

Summary
God doesn't exist and even if he did, he bailed a long time ago, leaving his subordinates on their own.
Chuuya works for HQ, an organization that exists beyond time and space, as a transmigrator. His job is simple: go down to one of infinite worlds, play secondary background role and keep the plotline in check so the world doesn't collapse. Simple.
When Chuuya gets assigned to his first high-profile, long-term case, he finally has a chance to prove everyone who doubted him, what he's capable of. Chuuya is nothing but a loyal employee, eager to show the higher-ups his dedication to doing his job flawlessly. He can't screw it up again, not this time.
After landing in Yokohama, he forms a plan: learn how to be a human, resist the urge to kill his menance of a partner Dazai Osamu, keep events going smoothly, follow orders, and don't blow his cover.
But when he faces the characters he had only read about before, Chuuya starts to realize they might be more than
just a cluster of letters and numbers in his files. He's not supposed to care. It's against everything he was taught, yet here he is, changing the Plot, alternating the characters' paths. This surely won't backfire, right?Bookmarked by MiniMafioso (Ringletts)
