“How’d you get in here?”
“Retina scanner still likes these big blues I guess.” He shrugged. He held one arm with the other, not in an injured way, but something that signalled to Bruce he was trying to make himself appear smaller.
Bruce was meant to update the security to not let him in, he knew that was the responsible, realistic, thing to do, but he was too afraid Jason would need something one day and find himself truly kicked out. He couldn’t do that. He had to make it as easy as possible to come back so maybe one day he would.

“Hi,” he started, “nice weather, isn’t it?” The robotic tone of his voice modulator made Alfred’s eyes narrow with distaste.
He wasn’t sure what to say after that. Alfred was still just standing there, assessing. It took Jason a moment to get his bearings because, holy shit, this was Alfred. And he was right there and he was older than Jason remembered and he wanted nothing more to run into his arms.
Jason took a step forward, and Alfred took a step back.
Jason visits Alfred, looking for a piece of home.
