It's the one-year anniversary since Dick lost his parents and 11 months since was adopted by Bruce (and is now under Damian’s custody). His parents’ murder case continues to be ongoing.
Dick lets Damian know that he wishes that he had a certain memento of his parents, as all his family’s personal belongings were confiscated for the investigation against Zucco. He rubs at his sweaty forehead, pinches at his watery eyes, runs a hand through his hair. A shiver runs down the entirety of his frame. A shaky inhale, then Dick blinks up at him with ruddy cheeks. “Oh,” he croaks. “Jason.”
