Summary
Suddenly there was a knock at the door.
At the sharp noise, Yuta was immediately pulled from the nightmares his brain had concocted for him. His heart thrummed a heavy beat in his ears and he felt lightheaded, but the red stains in his mind were gone. He sighed shakily to steady his breath before calling out:
“The door’s unlocked.”
He plastered on a tired smile, though he imagined it did little to disguise his anxiety, and turned to face his visitor. The door opened.
It was Toge Inumaki.
Yuta’s heart surprised him by skipping a beat.

The approach of the Battle of the Strongest affects everyone differently. Yuta is slowly drowning in his worry about the dangers he knows they will face, but he is interrupted by Inumaki who has something he wants to get off his chest before it's too late.

Summary
The day itself had been like many others. Grievous injury and death was part of Shoko's job, after all. The only thing that truly made this day different for her was the fact that now, in the aftermath of it all, Satoru was dead and she was alone.
‘I was always alone,’ her mind quipped bitterly. ‘Ever since Geto left I’ve had to deal with things on my own. Honestly, I was alone before then, too.’
After all, it had been hard not to notice, as the three of them got to know each other during their first year at Jujutsu Tech, that Satoru and Suguru had something that she never would have with them, something that they couldn’t share. They cared for her always, and never intentionally made her feel any less, but she knew what they were, and she knew what she wasn’t.

It is meant to be a question, but it sounds more like a statement. They both know what her answer to that is. But Reina still perks up a little when she hears him say it.
“Finally you get it,” she says, her tail swishing slowly behind her.
Colt is not so sure that he does. Still, he wants to.

Colt has prepared extensively to raise Reina as best he can, but when she starts having nightmares and memories from a past lifetime he realizes that she isn't who he thought she was, nor who he expected her to become. He decides that the two of them need to sit down and talk about it.
