There's not.
It's not very surprising, but it is frustrating.
Frustrating enough that Dante takes a swing at the Divinity Statue he happens to find.

Summary
Vergil walked back into Dante’s life the same way he did everything else; without a care for how it might effect anyone but himself. But that also meant Vergil was back, and Dante was prepared to do just about anything to keep him there. Anything, of course, other than ask him to stay.

Summary
