Summary
Yelena and the Thunderbolts stumble upon Kate Bishop during a routine mission. Which is pretty weird because she's been missing and presumed dead for three years.
When Kate wakes up unable to recall anything from when she was missing and able to speak a new language, the Thunderbolts agree someone needs to figure out what happened to her. And it might as well be them.

When Natasha defected she made a last minute request, which was miraculously fulfilled. Years later, Yelena and Natasha live in a lovely apartment New York City where their lives are quite ordinary, Natasha working as a SHIELD agent, which is little more than a glorified diplomatic job, and Yelena as a triage nurse in the hospital, where she takes a particular interest in one of the more frequent patients.

“What’s up Susan?” Kate asked, smiling around a mouthful of pasta.
“Would you like to go out with me some time?” The widow grinned, a little bashful as she pushes a strand of her hair behind her ear. “We can have some drinks at a dive bar a few blocks down before we leave.”
The archer slowly places the spoonful of pasta down onto her plate. “Sorry Susan, but I actually have a girlfriend."
Susan pouts, though not too upset about the rejection. With a curious look, she asked. “Who?”
Yelena sees the cogs turning in Kate’s head, and the mischievous glint in her eyes as their eyes met for a second, before they return to Susan. The archer’s lips growing into a smirk.
“Yelena.”

Little did she know Kate would say they are dating each other.
