It wasn't supposed to be this way. Certainly, it was close to what he'd originally wanted. But there was something just.... wrong, about the emptiness of it all. The pandemic had swept across the world in a matter of months, killing indiscriminately. He'd watched, plugged into every camera, every system, as the sickness spread, leaving only death in it's wake.
He'd thought North America barren of intelligent human life, until, six months after he'd disregarded the entire continent, one of his sentries, investigating some odd signals in a little town in Canada got run over by a woman joyriding around in a Lamborghini.

Lena is not what you would call 'boring'. Raised by an Alliance Veteran and a particularly ornery Krogan after her father left, she was raised to accept everyone, alien or human. After her Grandfather died, she found herself the owner of his bar in the Citadel's Wards.
Things have been... difficult. She's trying to move through her grief, while working hard to ensure that her grandfather didn't make a mistake by leaving her his beloved bar. The last thing she expected was to have a Spectre walk into the establishment, and into her life. Nihlus Kryik is suave, smooth-talking, and flirtatious, and she can't help but be drawn into him. But things take a turn when his job as a Spectre overlaps with her own - Cerberus is on the Citadel, and their plans might end up getting her and a lot of other people killed.

Summary
The only language humanity speaks is violence.
At least, that is what Ramattra wholeheartedly believes, and Imre still holds out hope that his belief could be proven wrong. When her words do not reach him, the only thing she can do is show him that there is another way. There had to be one; the silence was going to be their end otherwise.
But would her efforts mean anything? She was a singer, not a politician.

“Happy birthday, Ramattra.”
Ramattra let out a quiet hum in response, still deep in meditation. When your words finally processed, he lifted his head, HUD reactivating as he turned to look at you. Your silhouette was a blur as his vision slowly refocused, revealing the shape of your face. Though your expression still eluded him, he knew from your voice that you were smiling.
“What?”
You tapped the glass surface of your watch, angling it toward him as it lit up. He leaned closer, able to make out the bold letters that flickered on the screen.
“March, the twenty-ninth. Today is your birthday.”
His… birthday. Right.
You remind Ramattra what day it is. He ponders the concept.

Summary
Ramattra slowed down a tiny bit more as all elements fell into place, feeling like he had something suddenly stuck in his voicebox.
His hand had stilled in the middle of Hanzo’s thigh. He surreptitiously moved it again, as if testing a theory— Moved it up, slowly, fingers pressing a bit more insistently on the seam of the jeans that followed the inside of Hanzo’s leg. His artificial pinky inching closer and closer to the fold between Hanzo’s thigh and his groin.
Hanzo jolted, minutely so, closing his eyes with a fold forming between his eyebrows. He let out a trembling puff of breath that escaped with the tiniest little whine known to mankind.
——————In the immediate aftermath of "Message in a bottle" Ramattra and Hanzo are back on the road, together... And now free to explore certain parts of their budding relationship to their heart's content.
