Like that night, the one she was spending stuck in the uncomfortable seat of the bus that was taking her and her schoolmates home, after the four days they had spent in a cottage in the mountains. The winter trip was perhaps the moment she looked forward to with the most anxiety and enthusiasm in the entire school year. A handful of days spent between ski slopes, excursions in the snow and comfortable armchairs. That year, then, it could be said that she was looking forward to it with even more excitement, because there was something that had recently become inextricably intertwined with the threads of her memories: Monkey D Luffy.

Years after finding the One Piece and becoming the Pirate King, Luffy continues his journey along the Grand Line with his crew. Luffy and Nami have been a couple for a few years now: in an indefinite period of their relationship they made their union official, whose distinctive sign are the thin gold and diamond rings that they constantly wear on their left ring fingers…
"It had not yet been four months since their last escape, and it was not long before they realized that this one had been different from the others. Nami had realized it a couple of weeks after their return... and now, the event that would mark their lives forever was starting to become visible."
Pregnant with their first child and unable to continue their journey, Nami chooses to stay in Foosha while Luffy and their crew prepare to depart for the Sabaody Islands. For the couple, this represents the beginning of long weeks filled with waiting, distance, friendships and nostalgia, and they are both unaware of the shadow of an old acquaintance who is about to cross their path.
