Summary
Suguru is standing in the middle of a broken street, lamp flickering overhead, and a massive curse looms over him, taller than the buildings surrounding them. The eyes swirling around its head blink, and then lower their gaze, closing. Its head splits through the center, lips pulling back from teeth as long as Suguru is tall. He wonders, heart stuttering so roughly he thinks it might stop, if this is where humans birthed the idea of angels.
