“My time is precious, pet.” Elryn spit the word. “Who was in the party?”
Nymlock rattled off the party's names mechanically, “Laios and Falin Touden, Marcille Donato, Namari, Shuro, and Chilchuck Tims.” He would find out if they left anyone off. He always does. All Nymlock could do was hope he hadn’t heard of them.
“Chilchuck.” Elryn’s voice rolled over the name like a cat eyeing the tail of a mouse.
“They’re a new party. Not very experienced.” Nymlock deflected, trying to mask the tension in their voice.
“I want you to join them.”
“I’m better off alone.”
“Not if I assign you more dangerous tasks.” He drew out the words like a whisper. “Besides, there are more important things at play. I’ll pay them handsomely for their participation.”
“And if they refuse?”
“They won’t.”

Timeline - Nymlock is set two years before the start of the anime/manga. Aka, 3 months after Marcille joined the Touden party and well before the dragon, ahem, incident.

He blinks. It’s not a natural mechanism, now, so his eyelids only flicker close when he remembers, or when he’s surprised. “If…If I were a pixie?”
“Yeah! If you were me!”
“I mean, then it wouldn’t be me, though. If I were you I’d do whatever you’d do. So it would just be a normal day.”
She let her wings slow, dropping herself onto his shoulder. “I suppose so,” she said, “but that’s no fun. If I were you, I’d…well, honestly, I’d probably pet things. It’s gotta feel different when Wulferic’s hair doesn’t tickle your asshole.”
