Playing however, causes Hermione to lose control of a power she has kept secret, a natural necromancy. The spirits of the departed are allowed to cross for final goodbyes. But there is more to her power than just conjuring ghosts, Hermione inadvertently reveals to whom her magic is bound.

Summary
Eddie’s massage therapist is Briana.
He confirmed this six times: twice on the website, once during a phone call he made from his truck in the grocery store parking lot like it was a covert operation, three more times in the confirmation email.
"Eddie?"
He looks up.
That is not Briana.
The guy standing in the hallway entrance is tall and built like someone whose job description wildly undersold the physical reality. There's a birthmark above his eye that shouldn't work but does, way too much, and his scrubs fit him well. They — okay. They fit him obscenely well, actually.
His arms. God, his arms. They're just arms. Everyone has arms.
Eddie is suddenly, involuntarily, thinking about what it would feel like to have those arms braced on either side of him. Or around him. Or holding him down.
Which is not a thought he's ever had about a man's arms before. He's pretty sure. He's almost sure. He's going to move on from this.
He is going to stop looking at the arms.
Any second now.

He stands up, because Eddie does not cower from knocks at — he checks his phone — 10:52 PM, even though every true crime podcast his abuela forwards him suggests this is exactly how people end up as a Dateline episode.
He looks through the peephole.
He blinks.
He looks again.
There is a man on his porch. Which, fine, he expected a man. What he did not expect is for the man to be — and Eddie needs a second here, because he’s processing several things simultaneously and doing a poor job with all of them — approximately six foot two, broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted, visibly muscular in a way that suggests either a dedicated gym routine or a genetic lottery win or both, and completely, entirely, spectacularly naked.
Except for the potted succulent he's holding in front of his crotch.

Summary
Eddie feels his life is a mess, with struggling to adjust to civilian life, being woefully out of touch with his team and the struggles of single-fatherhood. The little stability he has gets upturned when he mistakes famous Lonestar actor, Evan Buckley as an adrenaline junkie at the scene of an accident.
Suddenly, Eddie is unable to escape the Lonestar fans, but eventually finds an outlet with his journey into fandomhood. This would be a great way to cope with his PTSD if Evan Buckley didn't keep showing up in his life, making his journey into fandom a little more complicated.
A love letter to the 911 fandom.

Buck could hear Eddie’s footsteps approaching and they made eye contact excitedly, readying themselves for the big reveal.
This was funny, right? Eddie would find this funny.

The door swung open and Buck and Adriana greeted Eddie with two entirely innocent shit-eating grins. Neither were even remotely prepared for Eddie’s reaction.
“GET THE HELL OFF OF HIM.”
OR
Buck invites a random girl from the bar to move into his spare bedroom, not realizing she's actually Eddie's sister, Adriana. When they figure things out, they decide to prank Eddie into thinking they're sleeping together and things go horribly awry.
