The warning signs he knew too well but could never predict no matter how many times it happened. A low, staticky hum filled his ears like someone had turned the volume down on the entire world, muffling the hum of the servers and Tony’s ongoing monologue. His vision softened at the edges, fuzzy and gray, like looking through fogged glass after a hot shower. Sweat prickled along his spine even though the lab was perfectly climate-controlled at sixty-eight degrees, the kind of cool that usually felt perfect after a patrol. His fingers tightened around the mug handle until the knuckles went white, a desperate attempt to anchor himself.

Ned gives a short laugh. “Pretty sure we established that when you puked in a corn maze. You’ve got like, food poisoning or something.”
Peter shakes his head. “No, not that.” He takes a few short breaths. “Chest feels weird. Kinda hard to breathe.”
Or, a field trip gone wrong leaves Peter and Ned wandering through a seemingly endless corn maze. This would be bad enough, but when Peter starts getting seriously ill on top of that, it all goes to shit.

Three months after his existence was erased, Peter Parker was not doing so well. His solace came from knowing that at the very least he had managed to save his city in the end.
Apparently, though, Peter realized as Doctor Strange explained to him that he had to give up even more, losing everything-and-then-some just wasn't enough.
OR
The multiverse continues to collapse in on itself. Doctor Strange discovers the source of the problem as Peter Parker. The only viable solution is to remove Peter from his original universe so that no more entities will be drawn to his presence there.
Peter is sent to a world that lost its Peter Parker, and finds himself lost in a sea of people he'd grieved who had all grieved him in kind.

He was just finishing the formulas and designs that would allow him to carry more web fluid in his canisters when he picked up on the tell-tale sound of the elevator coming up the shaft, and he felt his stomach fall to his feet.
Not good.
Moments before the doors slid open, he quickly muted himself and turned his camera feed off and prayed that he was on the last page of students and that Mrs. Warren wouldn’t realize before he could tell whoever it was to fuck off.

Peter is getting sick of online high school, and needed to sit somewhere other than his bedroom. Either FRIDAY lied or he was just really unlucky. Tony, Sam, Bucky, and Clint shenanigans happen.
