It would hurt. But they’d be hurt together, and then laugh about it and groan and complain and go home.All he had to do was grab their hands.

Donatello’s death leaves no ghost, no echo, no hope of reunion. Only a silence so complete it fractures Leo from the inside out.

Donnie chuckled under his breath.
“What?” Raph asked.
“Nothing. I thought that squirrel seemed a little nutty.” Donnie paused, eyebrows raised, but Raph did not give him the satisfaction of a laugh. “Uh, nevermind. The fridge works fine. It’s just the lightbulb that’s out.”
“Oh, great,” Raph said. “Give it a twist and let’s get the hell out of here.”
“Mikey would’ve laughed.”
“I’m not Mikey.”
“No,” Donnie sighed. “You’re not.”
Raph wished he remembered enough about his youngest brother to understand all the nuanced layers of meaning in Donnie’s statement. But since he didn’t, Raph let it pass.

The M-Bomb has detonated over New York City. Having lost his family and his memory, Raph wanders through an apocalypse with nothing to tie him to his past except his brother, Donatello.
Will they survive?!?!?! (probably not)

The lake was large and surrounded by bowing reeds, heavy under the weight of accumulating frost, as a thin sheen of ice collected on the surface of the water, winking at them both where the winter sun made it glisten.
Leo is happy to admire its natural beauty from afar, hunkering down into the snug warmth of his fleecy jacket as a bitter wind brushes by.
Donnie, on the other hand had somehow required an itch to get closer and investigate to quell his ever growing curiosity."Just be careful, Dee," Leo warns him as his brother takes an eager step forwards, half frozen leaves crunching underfoot. " It might not be safe."
To that, Donnie turns his head and throws Leo a sparing smile from over his shoulder.
"I know what I'm doing, Leo," he tells him in a matter of factly manner. "I won't go far — I just wanna see how well the environment is surviving beneath the ice. For science."
