It would be heroic, epic, and would fit his vibe well. Besides, he loved Woodkid, and this song has been one of his favourites for approximately 6 years already! His brothers groaned in unison, making jokes about it, cause why would he wanna go out in such a sappy way?
Later on though, Donnie looked at him, like... really really looked at him while Raph and Mikey fell asleep next to them. "Don't go away soon" the youngest whispered, patting Mikey's head in his sleep. "As cool as that song would be, we still need you yaknow.”
Leo promised he is not planning to go. They're young, just barely turned 16, they have a whole life ahead of them. When the time comes, when he is a lot older and less afraid, it would be epic to have a heroic falldown. But, he doesn't want to go yet.

AN UPDATED VERSION OF ONE OF MY FANFICS
After a messed-up patrol, leaving Mikey injured because of the three brothers' actions, Splinter punishes them from going to the surface until they can learn to work and adapt with Michelangelo together.
It is then that Donatello created a drug called the BIO (Bionic-Intelligence-Organism) that boosts Mikey's intelligence, his behaviour and his strength.
Hoping that this would lift the punishment, the three brothers went along with the plan and tricked Mikey into eating a pizza with the drug in it, and soon the formula worked
For the time being, the BIO transformed Michelangelo for the better as he is more mature, a lot smarter, stronger and even better at things
But as the drug gets stronger and stays longer in Mikey's system, it begins to turn him into a different person, something cold, something opposite of who Mikey is...Something sinister
Will the family find a way to reverse Mikey back to his natural self or will this dangerous new Mikey be their downfall?

THIS IS AN UPDATED VERSION OF MY OLD MIDNIGHT FANFICTION
Set in an alternate universe at the start of The Croaking, Mikey got hurt by his brothers for trashing the place, but instead of running away, he cleans up the place and tries to make it up to his brothers. However, when he heard his family talking about him horribly behind his back, it was the last straw, and Mikey ran away from his family, vowing never to return.
It wasn't long before he was kidnapped by a strange alien from another universe. Five months later, the Hamato family finds Mikey in his new brain-washed form, Midnight
They realise that not only do they have to save him, but also to make sure Virus doesn't use Mikey for world conquest.
Determined to save Mikey and make amends for the terrible mistakes the brothers make, they will stop at nothing to save him, but it will be a challenge since Midnight proves to be their toughest enemy yet
Can Mikey be saved from Midnight's power? Can the family be restored once more? Or will their doom fall upon them?

In an alternate universe where Splinter lives, Karai takes charge of the Foot Clan, transforming it into an honorable organization dedicated to good. The Shredder is dead, and life has returned to normal-except for one family member.
Mikey has been feeling useless and lonely at home, as his brothers constantly ignore him or become angry with him for his antics. One day, he finds comfort in a strange woman named Misaki Towa, who offers him sanctuary and support to lift his spirits, becoming a motherly figure to the turtle.
Unbeknownst to Mikey and his family, Misaki is the Shredder's widow.
After learning of her husband's death, she plans to avenge the Shredder by killing the turtles and Hamato Yoshi, with the help of the remaining Foot still loyal to him.
As the story unfolds, Mikey begins to lose his family's faith and love due to Misaki's poisonous manipulation and lies disguised as harsh truths.
Can Mikey's brothers and Splinter help him through this ordeal, or will Misaki Towa succeed in her revenge by poisoning the one person who is the heart of the family?

Those harsh, clipped words cut Leo to the core. His shoulders dropped down along with that scowl on his face which was replaced with a frown, and his voice radiated sadness when he asked: "You're not talking about me using my portals, are you? This..." he looked out through the opening of the small cave-like structure they were hiding in, staring at the redness to the landscape that wasn't from the setting sun but rather by some sort of deathly apocalypse caused by these 'krang' Leonardo had mentioned, and continued: "...this is somehow my fault."
