Summary
When Tommy meets Shayne freshman year, he doesn't expect their friendship to last much longer than the two week university orientation, but, after Shayne continues to make meaningful -- if not brief -- appearances in his life, he admits to himself that maybe he should've tried harder to keep him around. When a speaking engagement brings them closer than they've ever been, Tommy's forced to address the fact that the desire he's long considered fantasy may be more in reach than it seems.
'Tommy presses his fingers against his pulse. Just to feel it. Curious to see if Shayne's heart is racing as fast as his own -- "I've got you." -- it is.'

Summary
“It’s like he’s a superhero,” Tommy says, indignant because he can be. Because he’s been thirsting over this DJ guy for months now while planning to sleep with this other guy, but they’re the same guy, and that’s fucked. Tommy sinks lower into the couch, scowling down at his drink, “or a serial killer.”
“Oh please,” Amanda laughs, swirling the wine in her glass and raising an eyebrow, “he’s a radio personality, not Bundy.”
“But still,” Tommy whines, voice petulant. He raises a foot up to the couch, forcing himself smaller.
“He introduces himself like every thirty minutes,” Courtney adds, leaning forward and pressing hard on his arm, “It’s not like he’s keeping a secret identity.”
Tommy frowns, sips at the vodka soda Courtney made for him, and picks a thread off of his jeans. “He calls himself ‘Spence’ on the radio,” he protests but it sounds stupid even as he says it. He shouldn’t be this frustrated, but it’s… shit, it’s kind of embarrassing, okay? Like, c’mon, what are the odds there’d be two guys on the night show at the station named some variation of Spencer who he had banter with?

Summary
Dean Winchester has been haunted by the ghosts of his parents since he was a kid. They never spoke to him or touched him, and his brother Sam never saw them, so he never really knew if it was real or if he was just crazy. Until Castiel Novak finds him at work and confirms what he's always thought, ghosts are real, and Dean's been seeing them. Castiel helps Dean come to terms with the loss of his parents and the jealousy he faces with his brother, and Dean helps Castiel relax -- a fair trade by anyone's standards. They become close friends and, along the way, something unexpected happens. They fall in love.
**okay so I’m probably not coming back to this, sorry!! (I’ve edited the tags to reflect this) But fret not if you happened to like this! I’m currently working on a different fic where Cas sees ghosts and helps Dean get some answers! That one will be posted all in one go so this abandonment shit doesn’t happen again**

Summary
Dean Winchester had grown up rough, but aged well. His life was perfectly on track. He had a stable job at his uncle's shop, a livable house with his brother, and a relationship with a really nice girl who was definitely way more than he deserved. He was happy with his makeshift family, his drafty house, and his hands-on job. A life with all his favorite things, distractions, kindly, fuck off.
Castiel Novak had done his best to defy the odds of blending in with everyone around him. He liked his job and his coworkers and his tight friend group. He was well on his way to being one of the top medical professionals in Santa Clara County. He wasn't necessarily happy, but he was satisfied and that was more than he'd ever expected.
Together though, they figure out that sometimes it takes a crash to give you what you really need.

Summary
Dean Winchester is bad at feelings and bad at taking hints. He should really open his eyes and just observe.

Summary
What begins as a transforming love between Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak in the summer of 1965 quickly derails into something far more tumultuous when Dean is drafted in the Vietnam War. Though the two both voice their relationship is one where saying goodbye is never a real truth, their story becomes fraught with the tragedy of circumstance. In an era where homosexuality was especially vulnerable, Twist and Shout is the story of the love transcending time, returning over and over in its many forms, as faithful as the sea.
