Summary
Tommy sat on his bed, staring at the wall opposite him.
He should have gotten up by now; he should be moving to get ready for school, but he couldn’t bring himself to move. It just wasn’t worth it – every day was the same monotonous cycle of waking up; trudging through school and being reminded of his failing grades; going home and going to sleep.
He rarely saw his father, sitting by himself at the desolate table, staring at the three empty chairs that the echoes of lost laughter still clung to. Memories of a family he once had trailed him everywhere he went, constantly nagging at his heels and reminding him that he would never again know the people who once cared about him. Broken promises and forgotten deals clung to his rotting flesh that decayed more the longer he was alone.
OR: the obligatory accidentally neglectful SBI story inspired by Ours Poetica with found family and eventual healing. Nothing special to see here.

Tommy doesn't know what else to do. No matter what he does, his family seems to ignore him.
They're always busy, always choosing something else over him.
He decides that it's about time they give him some attention, even if that means forcing them to pay attention to him.
Or, more accurately, forcing the heroes Siren, The Angel (of death), and The Blood God to pay attention to him, through any means necessary.

Neglected Tommy becomes a villain, just to get the attention of his father and adopted brothers. Angst-heavy, with a lot of child neglect :)

“Ten Days.”
Tommy looked up, narrowing his eyes. His heart beat in his chest, a steady rhythm that sounded in his ears. Ten days? A smug skip in his heart made him lean back in his chair, shoulders relaxed. Ten days was not nearly enough to earn his trust. It’d be a simple defeat, one Tommy could take pride in being the victor of. So he offered the man a grin and nodded, extending a hand towards his already open palm. “Ten days.” He agreed, and they bobbed their hands in agreement.
Too bad Tommy would be gone in six.
Or, in other words,
Tommy's a hero who runs into SBI villains and they slowly figure out he's their lost brother. Tommy, however, decides that they're just weird people who strangely have pictures of his mom and have a dad who looks just like him.
