Summary
Once upon a time, on a faraway planetoid (or maybe moon, or possibly asteroid – the tales disagreed), there was a man. Some versions of the story said “soldier,” others “leader,” and one or two went as far as “king.” Regardless, this leader, and some of (a few of, many of, hundreds of) his followers were there, asleep. Waiting. In the galaxy’s darkest hour, when all hope was lost, they would wake from their slumber and return, defeating all evil that threatened the galaxy.
Rex never intended to become part of a fairy tale. But with Order 66 happening around them and all the troopers of the 332nd about to kill them, Rex and Ahsoka are willing to do whatever it takes to keep everyone alive. A slightly different trajectory through space leads to a very different landing for the 332nd, and a very different trajectory for Ahsoka, Rex, and the galaxy.

Summary
Pen and Des have had a long and happy partnership together as demon and rider, but Des is well aware that humans don’t live forever, and one last mission to deal with an invading army proves to be Pen’s last. Now Des is stuck as an unwillingly ascended demon with an unresponsive rider. Des may be struggling after outliving yet another rider, but being eaten by a saint and dissolved back into chaos isn’t her preferred outcome either. But maybe, just maybe, the Lord Bastard has more grace for His demons than any of them ever realized.

“Captain Rex,” Cody nods sharply, the grip on his helmet tightening. “You’re needed immediately at the Jedi Temple. General Windu will meet you at the hangar and escort you to the Room of a Thousand Fountains.”
“Yes, Commander,” Rex replies blandly, wondering when anyone would tell him what the haran is going on. What is wrong with General Kenobi now? “Do I need to bring Kix, or—”
“Just you, Captain,” Cody interrupts. “Quick as you can. We’ll see you shortly.” The holo winks out, and Rex stands there for a moment, just breathing.
