She cracked a smile as Ruthye entered. Clark’s plain black shirt hung baggily off of her frame and bottoms of her checkered blue pajama pants dragged along the floor with each step, and she scowled at Kara when she saw her face.
“Do not laugh. Obviously the clothes do not fit, as they belong to a man with a much larger frame than I.”
“I’m not laughing,” she lied. “Come here.”
Kara’s first impressions of Earth drove her to abandon it. Now, coming back with Ruthye in tow, she does everything in her power to make sure Ruthye’s first experience will be better than her own.
