"Tell me," he gasped against Mike's lips, "tell me you want it too."
Mike's breath hitched. This was the other part of the ritual. The confession. He had to say it. To give Will the validation he craved, the proof that this wasn't just him, that Mike was just as broken, just as needy.
"I want it," Mike whispered into Will's ear. "God, Will, I want it so bad."
Will whimpered, a sound that was half pain, half triumph. He fumbled with the button of Mike's jeans, his fingers shaking with urgency. "Then take it," he begged. "Take it from me. Please, Mike."Neither Mike nor Will are normal boys. They both know too much for their age. So of course they are unable to think of any other solution but their secret, maladaptive coping mechanism. Will is oppressively demanding of Mike's affection, and Mike feels an all-consuming guilt.
