Summary
The sound of metal meeting skin is one that Hayato did not want to have to hear in Makochi, though it is something he recognizes immediately. The sheer shock of hearing something so usually isolated to just one of his two homes is enough to make his lone eye widen in surprise, before he turns toward the noise so quickly that the tassels on his earrings snap against his cheeks.
That sound, however, is unimportant compared to the sound Sakura makes when he goes down. His noise of pain snags in Hayato’s brain like a fish hook and makes the blood rush to his brain so quickly that he’s momentarily lightheaded.
(suo does not take kindly to cowards who use tricks to hurt those he loves. he knows their type. they will not repent until someone teaches them a lesson.)
