Flowers meaning fleeting love and affection, taken from their nature of blooming only in the early morning breeze, before wilting away in the afternoon and night.
But traditionally, it also meant unrequited love.
A symbol representing Ichika’s love for Shiho. Blooming from her chest and sprouting out her esophagus like some kind of sick joke.
But it wasn't a joke – this was all real, and the pain streaking down her windpipe was proof.
