“I gotta stop it,” Hawkeye says, as if picking up a conversation Radar can’t hear. “They’re just gonna keep coming and dying if I don’t, and– and isn’t it irresponsible if I stop trying?”
“Aw, Hawk…” Radar feels at a loss. The thing is, it’s not so crazy what Hawkeye’s trying to do. But the war is bigger than either one of them, and neither he nor Hawkeye are gonna be able to stop it on their own, no matter what they do.

Radar gives him a withering look, then turns to BJ. “I need to get squeezed,” he says, hands clenching to demonstrate. “When Hawk’s in me, it’s– it’s really good, but it’s also. A lot.” His cheeks flush. “The squeezing helps. But Hawk’s not…”
“Not as big,” BJ says slowly. “I think I understand.”

When he was growing up, he was so afraid of scorpions he thought about them every ten seconds, every five. Started drawing them on his desk at school. Dreaming about them. Catching them under cups in the garage. He knew every fact there was to know about scorpions.
He was wearing one on his back right now, custom stitched onto his jacket. He had asked for that. Wanted it. Paid money for it.
Maybe Standard was afraid of another man fucking his wife the way he used to be afraid of scorpions.
