Summary
Hanbin won’t recall when he felt the ugly, coiling feeling in his chest for the first time, the incessant cry of “why not me?” A want that has festered for the past two decades, the simple desire to be liked. Everytime Hanbin tries to convince himself he is satisfied, that want rears its head. (That want will never be satisfied. It's just a fact of life: Hanbin is Hanbin and wanting is in his bones. Eventually, though, he will find people built of the same blocks, all the way down to their marrow, and maybe that will give him some peace of mind.)

Nowadays, the labelmate—real, permanent labelmate—he sees the most often is Kim Dayeon, and he tries not to dwell on the fact that Hyunbeen most definitely sees the members of EVNNE more than he sees him. Probably talks to them more, too. Some nights, when Taerae is on call with his Hanbin or one of the two Junghyuns or sometimes even Jihoo, Gunwook is tempted to ask them how Hyunbeen is doing. The temptation is there, but he never gives in.
or: Gunwook is used to knowing things. Now, he feels more out of the loop than ever.
