Summary
Confined to Temple rest after a disastrous mission leaves Master Qui-Gon Jinn with a shattered foot, Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi has a lot of time to catch up on missed work. Then Qui-Gon is found murdered inside his own quarters. The room was locked. There are no signs of forced entry, no missing security recordings, and no explanation for how the killer could have entered or escaped.
The investigation quickly turns inward. Every Jedi in the Temple is a suspect, and suspicion falls especially hard on Qui-Gon's troubled Padawan.

Summary
Obi-wan was born for the bog. The Jedi were only borrowing him.
A month after Melidaan, Obi-wan drowns himself. Qui-Gon thinks it is just trauma. A childish reaction to the war.
He does not understand that Obi-wan is hearing a call older than the Jedi Order itself. And the closer Obi-wan gets to the water, the more the Force begins to answer back.

The bartender looked down at him with a frown, his brows furrowing as he took in Obi-Wan's thin frame. “How old are you, kid?”
Obi-Wan shifted uneasily, suddenly aware of the attention he was drawing from the patrons around him. “It’s not for me,” he replied quickly, his voice steady despite the tremor in his fingers. “I’m just fetching it for my Master.”
Master is a bit of a loaded word in the wider galaxy.

Summary
The only reason he ever dealt with Batman anymore was because of Dickface. He hadn't expected this to earn him points with the Justice League; he wasn't a "good guy."
The mission was Wonder Woman's idea (she gave him a coffee mug as thanks – he used it at work). Now he was stuck playing the role of a non-violent CI while rooting out League of Assassins members in the FBI. He'd become a mob boss to avoid a 9-5, and yet here he was, living the office life. Ugh.
On a consulting case, his hearing aids began their annoying beep – he'd forgotten to charge them. Well, crap.
