Summary
Jimmy doubled over again as another wave of nausea passed through him. He couldn’t do this, he couldn’t do this on his own, he needed help. Once he was sure that he was done throwing up for at least a moment, he crawled back into his bedroom and picked up his phone from the nightstand, his shaking hands ripping it out of its charger. He opened it, though not without messing up the password three times, then pressed the phone icon.
Several contacts popped up, the tears in his eyes making it nearly impossible to read. He couldn’t call Grian. He couldn’t call Pearl. His thumb hovered over Tango’s contact. Would he answer him? He’d had a long day too and it was incredibly early in the morning. Besides, even if he did pick up, would he actually care? No, no, of course he cared about, they were ranchers together before everything went wrong. He would care.
His phone lit up the darkness of the bathroom, Tango’s contact information still staring up at him. He pressed the call button.
