Summary
Athena had told Telemachus to find the monster known as the "Nowhere King" for answers about his father, Odysseus. The monster in question, which has been active for around seven years, collects bones. Telemachus doesn't expect to find his father alive, but if he can bring home a body - well, that kind of closure will allow him to make his own claim on the throne without worrying about usurpation.
The Nowhere King is... strange. And not just because it is a mess of stolen bones held together by tar. Intelligent monsters are the most dangerous, but there's something about it that feels... almost familiar.

Summary
Odysseus has been wandering the corpse-filled remains of Troy, picking off the wandering dead and dreaming of a home he cannot return to. The Infection filling his lungs has made sure of that. So when a new ship of uninfected people arrive on the shores, he prepares to protect them and scare them off.
There's a familiar face among the newcomers.
(Or, Zombie Odysseus meets Survivor Telemachus. There are tears.)

Summary
Odysseus is, for a full second, determined to sacrifice his men. But Eurylochus’s eyes beg him to reconsider, and there is already so much blood on his hands - and then, in the midst of his desperation and fear, Odysseus has an almost violent epiphany: he has been given no time limit.
And so he shrugs lightly. “That’s true, actually. I don’t want you all to die either.” He looks pointedly away from the swords pointed in his direction, meeting his second-in-command’s gaze with a beam bright enough that the man recoils. “Thanks for bringing that up, Eurylochus! You’ve given me a lot to think about.”

Summary
“You are mistaken,” Athena protests, but the words do not sound convincing even to herself. “Odysseus is but a mortal. He is not my son. He does not even share my blood. He is simply a champion I have chosen.”
Hera arches a brow, amusement flickering briefly across her face before fading. “And yet, when he suffers, you suffer. When he weeps, you burn with rage. When he calls for you, you answer. You do things you never have before in order to ease his pain. You wish to destroy those who have dared to wrong him.”
