Uhura smirked and leaned forward ever so slightly, lunch forgotten. “Uh huh,” she said, “and he told you this when?”
Spock was not comfortable with the direction their conversation was heading. He straightened, and said, “As First Officer it is my responsibility ensure the safety of the ship’s Captain. As such, I have made myself aware of his medical appointments, as he has a habit of avoiding them.”
Somehow, the triumphant look on Nyota’s face told him that this was not quite the right response. “Okay Spock,” she said after a pause, “maybe you should think about why you felt the need to do Dr. McCoy’s job for him.” She gave him a meaningful look that he was unable to interpret, then said, “I have to get going. Think about it, Spock.”
As she walked away, Spock took a moment to wonder when what he had once considered his most refreshingly logical relationship had taken such an incomprehensible turn.

Or, the one where Spock keeps getting distracted by all the boring human aspects of Jim, and is the last one to notice.

Summary
Stiles makes one comment about maybe possibly being a little more proactive about this whole supernatural thing, and suddenly Scott's got him as some kind of magical apprentice to Deaton. He's not very good at it.
Scott is handling leadership surprisingly well, Allison is terrifyingly competent, Erica is just terrifying, and Derek just seems to always be around.

Summary
A tracking spell goes completely wrong in Defence Against the Dark Arts, and somehow Harry ends up in another universe, eerily similar to his own except with one stark difference: he can, for some reason, smell everyone. And strongly.
He might have been able to handle it, if his partner in the class hadn’t been affected by the spell as well, and ended up right there with him.
He probably would have been able to. Except that his partner, of course, had to be Draco bloody Malfoy.
And he smells fantastic.

It felt humbling to realize that he’d gotten too comfortable with the idea of spending almost every night at Roy’s, talking, debating, cooking together—it was a domestic life they cultivated, and one Ed took for granted all too soon. Roy would go back to Ishval whether Ed was ready or not.
He warned his students against that often. If something can be had, it must also have the potential to be sacrificed, he told them with a thickness in his throat. If you cannot live without it, that’s what will be taken from you first.
That is equivalent exchange at its core.
Ed is a professor and Roy is a hero; they try to make it work.

And that’s the part that confuses him the most. Zuigetsu’s wrong for lying to her, but Maomao’s not being honest herself - to either version of him. She rejects Zuigetsu to his face, and acts like it means nothing. She tells Jinshi she’s interested in a sexual relationship with him, but she’s now touching Zuigetsu, of her own initiation. Even if he bore no responsibility in the Jinshi profile, her signals were still beyond mixed. Maybe she was only being as opportunistic as he was, when he swiped on her profile.
Maybe what Zuigetsu’s done really isn’t all that bad. Not if they both get what they want.
OR, Zuigetsu's been moonlighting as Jinshi just to get Maomao's attention, lying behind a fake dating profile. Things finally come to a climax.
