Summary
Spock watches him, transfixed, as he is shunted into another time, the shores of another world. The hiss of boots in hot sand. The death knell. Huddled aliens pleading in alien tongues. Bodies half-buried in molten glass. Amorphous organic matter — the inevitable consequence of disorder.
On the other side of the looking glass: a transporter accident and a revelation.

Summary
Papa is very interested in Robin Hood. He tells Goro exactly that, in confidence. That it’s a secret for them to keep together.
“You have something very special, Goro. A gift.”
“A gift?” Goro echoes. And for a moment every ghost dissipates at once—every harsh word and hushed comment and silent judgement vanishes, just a long forgotten nightmare.
In which Goro Akechi has exactly what he wants.

Summary
The next morning, Akechi wakes up with something in his throat. He thinks nothing of it, staggers to the bathroom like always and pauses in front of the sink. And then he coughs. And then he sees—
No.
A single flower petal, stark red against the porcelain of his bathroom sink.
This is not happening.
Akechi closes his eyes and counts to eight, determined that when he opens them the petal will be gone. A figment of his imagination, the product of excessive stress and nothing more.
Paper thin though it is, the little red teardrop in his sink refuses to budge.
That’s fine.
It still isn’t happening.
