"Is that what this is about?"
Takumi was a bit jealous of Yugamu's interest in Eito. He didn't realize that the jealousy went both ways.

Ren thinks about it. His life really couldn’t and shouldn’t revolve completely around the shadow world, he supposes. And he’s not obligated to do any more than this if acting doesn’t agree with him after all.
Ann’s going to freak. Futaba is going to lose her shit.
“You remember the Phantom Thieves of Hearts business a few years back?” The director asks. “It won’t be a complete one to one, but I do have to admit that this series’ plot is loosely based on it.”
Okay, now that’s just unfair. Now Ren has to take the role.
So that’s how Ren becomes a Featherman Ranger.
Or, Amamiya Ren becomes a Featherman actor, bases his character off Akechi, and the real Akechi Goro disastrously simps from afar.

Eito Aotsuki is living a peaceful, solitary life as the sole worker aboard Site Theta-6, one of the few sea-to-air ports of Planet TKM-1 — an ocean planet rife with resources under the jurisdiction of the United Human Fleet.
Horror stories from former workers of Planet TKM-1 barely phased him; he would much rather get swallowed up by the oceans of a foreign world than die in the line of fire on humanity's behalf. Eito always chalked up their warnings to paranoia, until he discovers that despite being the only person onsite, he was not alone in the massive harbor.
